Read through some of the books I have out - watch film too.
Make notes on the concept and plan out any themes that I can focus on and begin with.
If the books/concepts are not too useful/relevant enough for my practice then work on creating a new theme.
Research in depth this theme (same way I will with the current theme).
Go to the library - online research and order some books that might be useful.
Once beginning research is substantial then start creating a proposal and an intro for my dissertation.
